Conceptualize, design, estimate, execute downstream wastewater treatment plants including biological design. Coordinate with sales team and management, develop and manage schedules and assignments and engineering project budgets. Design the process, pipe and pump systems for wastewater treatment/ recycling and sludge dewatering projects. Prepare PFD and P&ID drawings, size, select and specify pumps, flowmeters, pressure sensors and control valves suitable for rugged oilfield environment. Oversee construction and fabrication drawings and documentation. Review and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids. Site visits to various locations and work with field operators and technicians. Provide guidance during installation and startup of new systems, implement tests to confirm equipment and system performance. Assist with design and implementation of R&D projects, pilot studies and related testing. Prepare project status and final reports with analysis and recommendations. Ensure that equipment and systems adhere to appropriate safety and regulatory standards. Train operators and provide troubleshooting support. Requires M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering and Proficient computer skills including Excel and basic navigation in AutoCAD. Familiarity with industrial control systems and power distribution in wastewater treatment plant, and process analytics associated with wastewater and water treatment. Knowledge of MBR/MBBR/Activated sludge system design and estimation, BioWin software simulations. Understanding of complex drawings for process and instrumentation and construction. Familiarity with bidding municipal wastewater treatment systems and understanding of industrial wastewater treatment. Occasional travel to various locations to work with field operators and technicians (30% of the time).
