Network Engineer II FHLBank Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA) to be responsible for administration & supporting the Bank’s computer network, phone systems, & security adminstration.

Specific job duties include: Troubleshooting for problems to resolve network failures including providing administrative support for data network & evaluate new technologies for use in network; mounting all network related documentation, policy, & network diagrams; administration & managing all routers, switches, & network equipment; configuring & patching network equipment; assisting with designing, architecting, planning, & building data & voice networks; working with vendors to manage, support, & enhance the data & voice networks; applying VoIP Techngs architecture, deployment, & support; evaluate, engineering, & recommending security enhancements; understanding network security concepts, including: 802.1x, network access control lists, firewall administration, & micro-segmentation practices; managing & mounting wireless networks that supports secured access; implementing routing protocols across wide-area & local networks. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications or a related field, together with 5 years of previous progressively responsible work experience in the position offered or related or a Master’s degree in one of the same discipline & 1 year of previous work experience in the position offered or related admin. network routers & switches. Must know (through academic training or work experience) network addressing & network protocols; network performance monitoring & troubleshooting network issues; working vendors troubleshooting wide-area networking & internet service provider issues; troubleshooting technical issues & follow through to resolution.
