The Peer Support Specialist I or II

This regular, part-time (22 hours/week) position is for a Peer Support Specialist to work in the Yamhill County Community Support Services division providing integrated mental health and substance abuse services in a voluntary crisis program setting. Peer Support Specialist (PSS) will work with multi-disciplinary teams to support individuals with psychiatric crisis stabilization by assisting with accessing resources, addressing barriers related to their mental health, and developing skills that promote recovery and advocacy. Responsibilities include: use life experience to provide support to individuals, assist in utilizing recovery skills, provide linkage with local peer organizations, identify strengths to achieve individual goals, and provide individual and group peer services. Hourly shift differential may apply depending on shift start time.
