Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8-4:30; M-F

Summary: 

Summary:
With others on the Communications team, develops internal and external communications and content and shares with stakeholders. Develops and implements metrics to measure effectiveness of communications and level of employee engagement. Communicates business, HR, financial and technical information clearly and accurately to employees and management. Identifies, writes, assigns, and edits stories that capture the hope, health, and humanity in MetroHealth’s mission, patients, and employees. Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or English. In lieu of degree, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
Minimum 7-10 years of professional communications experience.
Experience in writing and editing across traditional and new media.
Experience in social media.
Highly self-motivated and results oriented.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
Knowledge of communications that enhance employee engagement.
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred:
10–15 years of professional communications experience.
Previous internal communications experience.
Experience with employee engagement initiatives.
Experience in creative effective intranet content.
Some health care experience.
Proficiency in use of content management systems for employee engagement.

Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
