Camp Director – Kamp for Kids at Behavioral Health Network

Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as the Camp Director in the Kamp for Kids program at Behavioral Health Network!

**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Kamp for Kids program with the following:


• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the program and implementation of the policies, regulations, and standards required to maintain a successful day camp.


• Developing, coordinating and administering all staff training.


• Assisting the Group Leaders with overall behavior management of campers and staff.


• Reviewing all camper paperwork.


• Overseeing all general correspondence to campers, parents/guardians, staff, and the community.


• Responding to parent/guardian concerns.


• Helping coordinate transportation services and computing bus cards in a timely fashion.

The Kamp for Kids program, located at Camp Togowauk in Westfield, is for children and young adults ages 5-20 – both with and without disabilities – that offers an opportunity to experience growth, inclusion and fun in a summer camp setting that includes a spray park; expressive arts; outdoor education; arts & crafts; and non-competitive sports.

What are we looking for in the Camp Director?


• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).


• Experience working with children in a camp setting(required).


• Experience with office work (preferred)


• Experience working with children with disabilities (preferred).


• Ability to work well with diverse populations.


• Good interpersonal and communication skills.


• Minimum 25 years of age (required).


• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and a good driving record (required).


• Bilingual in Spanish & English (preferred).
