For the GS-09: A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or LL.B. or J.D. with major study in accounting, auditing, or related discipline.
For the GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be use to meet total experience requirements.

DCAA Locations: The agency has multiple locations within commuting distance to the metro city center advertised in this announcement. Duty location may be within a 35 mile radius of St. Louis or Chicago.

Mobility Agreement: Assignment changes are an inherent part of career development and training for these positions. Auditors may rotate within commuting areas where sufficiently diverse work assignments are available. Further, a management directed change in location can be required at any time if there is a need to accomplish a bona fide mission objective that is specified in writing.
Conditions of Employment: The positions filled from this announcement will involve working with Defense Contractors and may be located at a Contractor location. Due to this, there are conditions of employment which preclude any affiliation with the Contractor to which you may be assigned. If selected for this position, you must comply with the independence standards contained in the Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) in all matters related to the assigned audit work at the contractor named in your tentative offer letter. In addition, you must be free of any financial conflict with the Contractor to which you may be assigned. You must take action to divest any conflicts prior to appointment. Travel: Some travel is required. Travel is typically local; however, some overnight travel may be required. Mobile auditor positions may require extensive travel (50% - 75%) between contractor locations. Government vehicles are not provided for use by DCAA mobile auditors.
Financial Management Certification: Selectees must meet the requirements of the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program. The FM Certification Program is a course-based program consisting of three certification levels. Level 2 certification must normally be completed within two years of the selectee's employment start date.
Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Certification (DAWIA): You must have achieved DAWIA certification in Program Management or alternatively, you must have the ability to obtain the required certification for this position within 24 months of appointment.
Salary: The salaries noted in this announcement are the base salary and locality pay for the Rest of U.S. pay schedule at the GS-07, step 01 and the GS-11, step 10 levels. The General Schedule (GS) basic pay schedule varies by geographic locality.
