This position supports the community outreach efforts of the Rainbow Injury Prevention Center team.  Activities associated with this position take place in the community, at Cleveland Medical Center and at the Rainbow Center for Women & Children. Responsibilities include: 

               Answering phones

               Scheduling appointments

               Database management

               Special event staffing

               Distribution of program materials

               Program coordination for Ohio Department of Education’s Summer Feeding Program

               Social media account content creation and monitoring

               Patient and family safety education

               Staff hospital-based events

               Program reporting

High School Diploma required.  Some college preferred. 

               Experience in health education/community outreach preferred

               Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

               Must be self-directed and able to accomplish tasks independently with minimal supervision

               Flexible work schedule and the ability to work some evenings/weekends

               Excellent organizational skills

               Ability to be physically active – lifting, loading, standing for extended periods of time 

Valid driver’s license required with clean driving record in order to drive hospital-owned vehicles.  Basic Microsoft Office experience required. 

This role encounters Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities. UH employees must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
