Defiance County Wastewater Operations - Director

The Board of Defiance County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for a Director of the Defiance County Wastewater Operations. The primary objective of this position, under the general direction of the Board of Commissioners and direct supervision of the Finance Manager/Administrator, is to oversee the operation of all Wastewater programs and supporting services to insure efficiency, quality, safety and professionalism in meeting the needs of the citizens of Defiance County. Applicants must be an Ohio Certified Class I Wastewater Works Operator. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent public relations and customer service skills. Must possess a valid State of Ohio Motor Vehicle Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record and insurability. Starting salary range is $45,000 - $55,000, based on qualifications and experience. Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent plus substantial training, education, and/or work experience which demonstrates proficiency in and knowledge of wastewater operations and treatment procedures is required. This is a full-time unclassified position; pay commensurate with experience.
