  • Performs high quality/cost effective diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Staff Tech
  • Assists Physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested/required
  • Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, other medical staff and NMMC staff members
  • Attends required in-services, annual review and educational programs
  • Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations
  • Stay abreast of changes in Radiology
  • Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
  • Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; required
  • Successful completion of 3 semesters of didactic and clinical competency requirements from an accredited Radiologic Technology program; required
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Radiologic Technologists within 6 months of accepting position; required (ARRT)
  • Licensed or license eligible by the State of Mississippi within 6 months of accepting position; required (MRT)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification; required
  • Good written and verbal communication; required
  • Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics; required
  • Serves patient population categories of infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
