Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a therapist to work on the Family & Youth team providing mental health services to youth and their families in a community setting. Duties will include engagement, crisis support, diagnoses, direct treatment, performing integrated behavioral health assessments, service planning and implementation, individual and family therapy, case management,  outreach/consultation for a small caseload of youth/families with intensive mental health/behavioral health needs. Works  in a short term therapy approach with a team to  meet youth/family needs. Work schedule flexible. Please see the attached job description for full details. 

This position may be underfilled with an HS Specialist II.

HS Spec III Salary:  $5218- $6669/month (DOE)
HS Spec II Salary:  $4778- $6163/month (DOE)

The Qualifications: 
The position requires a master's degree from an accredited school in social work, clinical psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a related field and:
 
HS Specialist II: one year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Must qualify as QMHP, to work in respective fields. May require licensing.
 
HS Specialist III: three (3) years’ post-master’s experience. Active professional license in the state of Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) or be a non-licensed QMHP with dual credentialing as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I, II, or III).
 
Preference will be given to those applicants with training and experience in evidence-based practices and experience providing intensive mental health and addictions services in a community-based setting, those with fluency in Spanish and English with competency to provide bilingual/bicultural clinical services, and those who meet the criteria as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). The successful candidate must have an NPI number or the ability to obtain one upon employment. Will be subject to successful completion of a background check. Will be subject to successful completion of a background check. 
 
Special Requirements:
The State of Oregon requires all Health Services and Clinic employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series or have an approved exemption to the requirement due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief. The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have excellent skills in organization, paperwork management, and communication – both verbally and in writing, in addition to typing and computer proficiency and will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner.  Other requirements include working knowledge and skill with diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment planning techniques specifically related to community mental health services and the abilities to understand the behavior of people under stress, develop cooperative relationships with clients, their families, and the community, maintain relationships with physicians, law enforcement agencies, the courts, public and private administrators, and the community in general, interpret community mental health and chemical dependency services, and prepare concise and complete client treatment and progress records.
