Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Wing Hospital (BWH). BWH is a 74-bed community hospital with a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and behavioral health services located in Palmer, MA. The Emergency Department provides 24/7 emergency care with private patient rooms, trauma and behavioral health services, is looking for an ES Associate to join our Team!

Department Description:

The Emergency Services Associate (ESA), provides an understanding approach to patient care, is responsive to patient needs, maintains confidentiality, and provides support to patients during examinations, testing and procedures and ensures smooth transitions during patient sessions. Provides patient centered care under the direction of the provider and administrative and clerical support in the department.

​Schedule:

• Part-time, 24 Hours per Week

• Day Shift, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm including rotating weekends and holidays

• Position located at Baystate Wing Hospital, Palmer, MA

​Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Graduate of an accredited MA program, current EMT certification or higher, or equivalent training, or demonstrated competencies of ES I (evaluated by hiring manager) with minimum 1 year experience in a medical office.

• CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.

• Clerical/Administrative experience in ambulatory healthcare setting preferred

• Excellent Interpersonal Skill, Computer and Phone Skills, familiar with operation of communications devices such as HEAR and CMED Radios.
