King County's Office of Emergency Management is looking for Emergency Management Program Professionals to join our team. Positions are responsible for working on preparedness and emergency operations projects and programs involving inter-agency, inter-jurisdictional, and multi-disciplinary coordination in King County.
Be a key player in the planning and development for present and future services as well as the fiscal administration of several Homeland Security Grant Program awards. Roles involve daily interaction with senior-level management, elected officials, and multiple intergovernmental partners. Requires a self-starter who is interpersonally and politically savvy, can work on multiple projects, and is a great problem solver.
CURRENT POSITIONS – Successful candidates will be placed in the Emergency Management Program Assistant or Coordinator classification. Classification determinations will be based on experience, skill, and knowledge the candidate demonstrates.
This position is being offered as full-time career service. Applicants from this posting may be used to fill other career service or temporary positions depending on business needs.
