Senior Improvement Specialist – UPMC Physician Operations & Professional Services, LLC seeks a Senior Improvement Specialist to work in Pittsburgh, PA (Allegheny County). Develop, implement, and evaluate technical improvement initiatives in the clinical setting, based on statistical and mathematical analysis designed for systems optimization. Must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Health Administration, Healthcare Informatics or a related field, plus six (6) years of healthcare, operations improvement, clinical or related experience, including some experience gathering, measuring, and interpreting large amounts of healthcare data; conducting systemic data analysis and information operations research; managing inpatient healthcare records and hospital operations systems; designing risk prediction models and value-metric reporting; utilizing analytical and business management methods including PDSA, Lean, and TPS; identifying strategies to achieve operational improvement goals; collecting and presenting data from clinical systems and technologies such as Cerner, Cognos, and EPIC.
