Position Title: Director of Internal Audit

Position: Director of Internal Audit

Under general supervision of the SGA Chairman. Responsibilities include leading and directing the Internal Audit function in managing audit projects and activities, operational reviews, scheduling and risk assessment within the Seneca Gaming Authority. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategies for highly complex, financial, operational and compliance related audits/projects to facilitate compliance with Seneca Gaming Authority standards, policies and procedures, applicable federal laws, applicable SNI laws. Ordinances, the SNI Compact with NYS (Compact), SGA approved tribal minimum internal control standards (TICS), generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS), internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR), and AICPAand Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards. The Internal Audit responsibility is building and maintaining relationships with members of the Seneca Gaming Authority management and Commission. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Authorities policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. Pay negotiable with great benefits and this position is located in Niagara Falls, N.Y. and the deadline to apply is February 22.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent required. Master’s degree preferred. Active CPA(CA) required. Minimum of ten (10) to twelve (12) years of relevant experience (i.e. auditing, financial controls) required; preferably in the gaming, hospitality, entertainment and/or retail industries. Experience working for alarge national or regional public accounting firm. Experience managing staff and leading an audit, accounting principles, generally accepted auditing standards promulgated by the AICPAand Internal Audit standards issued bythe IIA. Must be able to successfully pass apre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation. Seneca preference.
