Lee Enterprises, a leading source of news in 77 daily markets across the country, is seeking a full-time meteorologist based in the West region of the United States to produce original content for multiple news outlets across several states. This role will expand Lee's team to five full-time meteorologists based throughout the country.

This meteorologist should be able to make accurate written forecasts, self-produce videos, create graphics, and inform and engage digital and print readers about issues related to weather, climate and other environmental topics in a part of the country that is home to a variety of extreme weather events. Creating daily, early-morning weather forecast videos for multiple markets is an essential function of this job.

This position could qualify for a remote work arrangement. States that will likely require coverage by this meteorologist include, but are not limited to, Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Arizona and California.

A bachelor's degree in meteorology is required. Must be able to work well on deadline and handle breaking weather-related news online and on live video.
