Job Description
The Vice President for Finance shall be the chief financial officer of the University. The Vice President for Finance is responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating personnel and programs, within the Division of Finance. The Vice President for Finance shall be responsible for the efficient, equitable and effective management of all financial aspects of the University, which may include finance, human resources, financial aid, and out-sourced dining services and bookstore operations.
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting (advanced degree preferred); *professional experience in fund accounting and computerized accounting information systems, as well as cost analyses; *record of successful experience in private higher education
Preferred Qualifications
certified public accountant; *doctorate; *familiarity with Ellucians Colleague software.

oversee asset management, debt management, banking relations and financial planning

monitor the overall service and management of all departments within the division of finance

ensure institutional compliance with all laws, regulations and agreements related to institutional grants, contracts, finance, risk management and insurance

monitor all areas to ensure adequacy of controls and compliance with applicable financial requirements

ensure accounting and management practices meet all applicable institutional and accreditation criteria
Job Duty
plan and coordinate the internal audit
Job Duty
analyze and recommend changes of fiscal and other operational policies and procedures
Job Duty
administer University policies related to business and financial activities
Job Duty
serve as confidential advisor to the President in all matters, providing analysis and interpretation of the University s fiscal affairs
Job Duty
prepare and present, under the direction of the President, investment, budget, business and management reports to appropriate committees or to the full Board of Trustees
Job Duty
present a full and detailed financial statement, properly audited by an independent certified accountant, to the Board of Trustees annually
Job Duty
perform other duties as assigned
Job Duty
complete required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University.
