Reno County Education Cooperative is committed to providing meaningful professional development for licensed and classified staff. Training opportunities are provided through a variety of sources including district sponsored training and in-service, workshops, conferences, webinars, etc. Staff are provided with time off for professional development days and costs of many professional development options are covered by RCEC.
RCEC enjoys a collaborative partnership with the Education Services and Staff Development Association of Central Kansas (ESSDACK) which serves as a source of high-quality professional development locally in Hutchinson. Value is placed on best-practices in special education and timely resources are shared through the technical assistance branch of the Kansas State Department of Education’s Technical Assistance System Network (TASN). RCEC is also a member of Infinitec which provides videos, webinars, and trainings on a variety of topics. These professional learning resources are free for all RCEC staff members.
