ACP, Inc. has an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Electrical Engineer with microwave/RF background. Come be a key member of our innovative and talented R&D engineering team for the industry leader and pioneer of commercial microwave and speed cooking technology. ACP, Inc. is a division of the ALI Group and a leader in providing high-speed cooking solutions to the commercial foodservice industry.

This person will take on a hands on/lead role in electronic control design, development and testing of microwave / thermal cooking systems. Strong experience with analog and digital controls, microwave system design and antenna/waveguide design is desirable. An understanding of electrical safety, global voltage standards and EMI standards related to UL and IEC compliance is a plus. Mechanical aptitude is highly desirable.

Key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Designing/simulating heating chambers for optimum microwave power distribution (cavity, waveguide, antenna, RF containment)
  • Researching, proposing, and applying specific technology advancements for possible
    integration with ovens
  • Testing and validating RF microwave system designs to ensure they meet operational and
    functional requirements
  • Writing or giving input on hardware, software, and user interface specifications
  • Interfacing with team members, management, and technical staff to define and implement
    engineering solutions that meet group, organization, and company objectives
  • Solving problems concerning fielded hardware over the entire product lifecycle

Requirements:

  • BS in electrical engineering or equivalent and 7+ years emphasized coursework and/or experience in these focused areas preferred: RF/Microwave design; RF and electromagnetic compatibility; digital solid state oven technology; analog, digital, and mixed-signal design; product design.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects; demonstrate superior communication, teamwork, and organizational skills; as well as the ability to develop and meet project schedules and goals, along with contingency plans.
  • FPGA, real-time and embedded systems; C, Linux, Python and Arduino.
