With approximately 375 students in KDG through grade 4, Henry Johnson Charter School (HJCS) is a small urban school district in NY’s Capital Region. 

HJCS, a unique K-4 school and district, has an expected vacancy for an office manager. This is a full-time 12-month (year-round) Civil Service Exempt position.

Responsibilities include handling incoming and outgoing communication and correspondence in person, via phone, and through email. The individual performs other duties as assigned.

 Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred);
  • Administrative experience;
  • Notary Public License, or willingness to pursue becoming a licensed Notary upon appointment;
  • A strong technology skill set, including proficiency in the use of MS Office, and ideally experience with student information system (PowerSchool);  
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, community members, teachers, students, and administrators;
  • Ability to work cooperatively with professional staff;
  • Able to interact positively with children, parents, public and staff;
  • Ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters and materials;
