Mission

Work directly for and with the VP of Marketing, Digital Experience & Design in close collaboration with SVP of Marketing in directing marketing development team and overseeing all marketing development-related activity with strong focus on external marketing web sites. Play key role in the overarching goals of website creation and availability and directly support the development and enhancement of the architecture for all marketing websites as defined in outward facing goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of new and existing Marketing websites for EBSCO in 16 languages
  • Along with the Vice President, lead the overall direction of EBSCO websites in conjunction with Marketing management
  • Oversee a team of Drupal developers and ensure they follow processes, meet deadlines, and have the support needed to produce their best work
  • Work with the Vice President to create and optimize a web process (including CICD) that runs efficiently and effectively given the department’s needs and goals
  • Direct research and implementation of new means of enhancing awareness of EBSCO’s products and services via the Web (search engine optimization, analytics, etc.)
  • Assist in strategic decisions to enhance EBSCO’s current web presence by utilizing additional marketing content to improve web pages (multi-purposing existing materials)
  • Oversee and execute additional marketing/technical/managerial tasks as directed by Marketing management
  • Develop and maintain existing and new websites as needed

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years Drupal 8+ development experience
  • 1+ year managing developers in a Drupal environment
  • 3+ years of experience working with third-party integrations, accessibility standards, techniques, cross-browser compatibility issues/workarounds, and W3C standards
  • 3+ years of experience working with and analyzing Google Analytics to measure effectiveness of web presence

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be tremendously detail oriented and conscientious with the wherewithal to work on hard deadlines and possess the ability for multi-tasking in order to manage projects and a team of developers
  • 5+ years of experience working within a marketing department; understanding marketing web strategies to reach desired goals and customers

 

  • 8+ years of profession experience, particularly in marketing considered a benefit
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (Fluent in English—speaking and writing) with other employees and customers
