Job Description
We are looking for Shop Mechanic to join our Dayton operation. Applicants must have a broad background in auto repair and diagnostics with experience in basic auto repair. The candidate must be able to properly diagnose and complete repairs in an efficient and timely manner. Welding abilities a plus but not required. Farm tractor and implement repair experience a plus, but not required. This position may be required to complete projects under difficult conditions or off-hours to keep our production equipment operating.

Responsibilities
• Basic auto and light truck repair that includes: Brakes, front end, minor engine repair, tune-up, starting and charging systems. • Tire repair and maintenance.
• Any welding skill is a plus (stick, MIG, TIG; gas)
• Suggest solutions to avoid downtime and costly
equipment repairs. • Practice safe work habits at all times.
• Treat all employees, vendors, and visitors in a
professional manner always. • Maintain security for company tools, parts, and other property.
• Work with other employees and share knowledge.
• Must communicate well with all levels of management and be able to provide information for project
specifications. • Keep accurate and up to date service records as directed. • Basic tractor and implement service is a plus.

Requirements
• Open availability is required. Can work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed. • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. • Ability to communicate effectively. • Ability to complete repairs on a wide variety of vehicles. Knowledge of common auto repair is required. • Previous experience with auto repair in a shop setting • Tool’s required to complete equipment and automotive repairs.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
