ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT OPERATOR MAINTENANCE

The City of Peru is accepting applications for an Operator Maintenance in our Electric Department.

Responsibilities will include operating and maintaining generators, high voltage equipment, DC equipment, pumps, motors, hydraulics, gas, and internal combustion engines. Additional duties include, but not limited to, monitoring SCADA system and troubleshooting pneumatic, high-pressure steam, hydraulic, and lubricating systems. Candidates must have the ability to read latter logic, schematics and be mechanically inclined. Additionally, must have a valid Illinois Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment, be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds, and be able to perform manual labor under various working and weather conditions. Candidates with a more extensive electrical background are encouraged to apply. Full-time position with competitive salary and excellent benefit package.
