Provides clients and patients of YVFWC with the needed educational information related to social service agencies available in the YVFWC service area.

What we're looking for:

  • A clear communicator who is able to build good relationships with all clinic staff and patients, and interacts with everyone in a positive and professional manner.
  • Someone with high quality phone skills and customer service.
  • Someone with call center or reception experience preferred.
  • A person who understands how to connect to local community agencies and resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience working as a lay leader, promotor (a), community health worker or similar role. 
  • Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Current Oregon State driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance coverage.
  • Bilingual in English/Other preferred; A passing score of 10 on the ALTA exam is required for bilingual differential pay.
  • Knowledge of the social and health agencies in the area and what they offer; ability to work independently with general guidance;
  • Ability to recognize a medical or emotional crisis and refer to an appropriate provider
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong organizational skills.
