  • Provides direct patient care and clerical support to the unit under the direction of the RN.
  • Assists patients with ADLs including ambulating, transferring, bathing, feeding, grooming, turning and positioning, and oral care, conducts chart audits as directed by the nurse manager.
  • Assists with data collection and reporting.
  • Assists with billing functions as needed, maintains the patient record in written and or electronic format, facilitates communication and efficient unit operations, orders clerical supplies for the department.
  • Prior clinical and or secretarial experience preferred.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to cope with stressful situations and adjust to varying workloads required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Experience in a large teaching hospital preferred.

  • High School Equivalent / GED
