INDICATIVE DUTIES: According to instructions, performs rough construction carpentry, painting, plumbing, cementing and similar and related work to maintain, repair and construct structures, waterways, fences and similar projects. Erects and builds scaffolding, staging, and wooden forms for concrete. Mixes, pours, and finishes concrete. Repairs roofs, door s and windows. Uses hand and portable power tools. Installs and maintains sewers and plumbing and builds rock walls. This position requires travel throughout SCE's Western Operations area as needed. Test(s) Required: 2422 Work Unit: Generation Work Location: Kaweah 1 PH (Three rivers, CA) Shift: Day 4/10 workweek Number of Positions: 1 Testing Information: Employees who are identified to continue in the selection process will be invited to test via-email and are encouraged to immediately begin preparing for any tests required in this job posting. Prerequisites: Must pass all required tests. Candidates must be available to test on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Rosemead, CA. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: General practices, methods and materials used in rough, heavy carpentry. Safety rules and regulations and first aid procedures. Ability to: Use tools and equipment for rough painting, plumbing, repair and construction work. Read and follow construction sketches. Work safely on elevated structures and near energized equipment. Perform heavy manual labor as required. Obtain and maintain a valid vehicle operator's permit. The knowledge, skills, and abilities required are of a level comparable with those normally acquired through courses taken in obtaining a high school or trade school education and considerable experience in general structural maintenance. Candidates must have a valid California motor vehicle operator's license, or be able to obtain one.
