The Campaign Senior Specialist leads the coordination of campaign strategies to enhance and streamline the successful execution of campaign fundraising across staff within the Office of Institutional Relations & Development (IRD) and in support of UH executive leadership, Campaign Executive Cabinet and other volunteer leaders.

 

  • In partnership with the Director, Development and VP, Development, ensures effective and efficient engagement, outcomes, and consistent messaging across pillars to optimize fundraising success
  • Serves as the primary project coordinator for strategic, on-going fundraising initiatives within IRD including campaign pillars and mini-campaigns
  • Serves as the primary project coordinator for the Harrington Discovery Institute and the Harrington Discovery Institute Regional Leadership Advisory Council (RLAC)
  • Collaborates with IRD staff members in order to serve as trusted liaison in engaging clinical leaders, senior leaders, and campaign leaders., including internal and external high level leaders
  • Drives meeting coordination, planning, and follow up for the Campaign Executive Cabinet IRD Campaign Task Force and other campaign leadership meetings as needed
  • Manages components of the campaign strategy including board giving campaign and the physician and employee giving campaign
  • Drives and maintains consistent and timely campaign reporting
  • Ensures effective IRD training and updates for respective campaign pillars and mini campaigns
  • Provides the centralized management, communication and coordination of all volunteer leaders and leadership groups managed through IRD, including leadership councils and leadership roundtables
  • Implements all protocols, policies, procedures and infrastructure to support efficient and effective implementation of volunteer leadership management and ensure operational compliance thereof

Education.

Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience & Knowledge:

•             5+ years of relevant experience in non-profits and/or development

•             Strong project management abilities required

•             Ability to quickly build trust and work with multiple constituencies, including senior leadership internal to UH and externally

•             Exceptional written and oral communication and organizational skills. 

•             Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, handling multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

•             Ability to set priorities and meet tight deadlines

Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:

•             Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

•             Experience with Raiser’s Edge and InDesign or similar software preferred

This role encounters Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities. UH employees must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients.
