The R. M. Palmer Company, manufacturer of chocolate novelty candy for holidays, celebrations and every day enjoyment since 1948, is seeking highly motivated, reliable, dependable candidates to join our team to become packers at our Wyomissing and West Reading, PA locations. Opportunities exist on second shift, with hours from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and third shift, with hours from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Sunday night through Friday morning.

This position is responsible for all phases and tasks involved with the wrapping and packaging of candy products including the assembly of packaging materials. All employees in this position will rotate between stations on their assigned line at one-hour intervals. They may rotate back to previous stations during a shift and are responsible for maintaining a clean work area between production runs and during down time.

Employees operate a variety of production machinery as assigned. The packer performs quality control/product inspection duties, and performs material handling as assigned. Must have the ability to perform the physical requirements of the job and effectively operate a variety of production machines, including being able to lift up to 40 pounds, have sufficient manual dexterity to perform all jobs, and must be able to move through the work
