A laboratory technician position is available at the Brain Institute of Tulane University to work on the newly funded NIH Project Program Grant (P01) “Estrogens, Cardiometabolic Health, and Female Cognitive Aging”. This position will support the Cardiometabolic Core at the Tulane School of Medicine. The broad goal of the research is to determine the impact of cardiometabolic status on the ability of exogenously administered estrogens to benefit the brain and cognition in an aging female rodent model. The research is at the intersection of neuroscience, cardiovascular and metabolic function, and women’s health. Candidates should have a degree in science with laboratory experience in neuroscience or cardiometabolic function. Experience working with rodents is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Other duties include but are not limited to ordering supplies, maintaining laboratory records, and assisting with daily lab operations.
