Job Summary: 1. Assists with implementing and tracking project management.

2. Assists with process improvement.

3. This position requires analytical abilities to support identification and evaluation of programmatic areas.

4. Prepares invoices and tracks accounts receivables, communicates with vendors as necessary.

5. Entering and documenting payables/receivables in accounting software.

6. Run reports and compile data from several business applications to include Business Objects and banking applications.

7. Prepares correspondence on behalf of the Chairman and Practice Administrator.

8. Schedules and prepares interviews for new medical faculty, to include travel arrangements and coordinating with other departments.

9. Completes medical staff applications and on boarding for medical providers.

10. Maintains web site on Upstate University platform and performs edits as necessary.

11. Maintains department social media sites.

12. Works with marketing office to create, design and distribute marketing materials.

13. Work requires both independent and team-based design and completion of project.

14. Handles variety of administrative matters involving contact with various staff, medical staff, government agencies, insurance carriers and the public.

15. Maintains files and assists in establishing office organization systems.

16. Arranges appointments, meetings, and conferences.

17. Assists the physicians with VA hospital computer access and tracking of hospital privileges.

18. Point of contact for VA correspondence for physician signatures and scheduling training.

19. Collects VA timesheets and submits the invoices for payment.

20. Support residency program director and the department chairman.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field and 2 years related experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an academic medical department.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
