WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR The Municipality of Bethel Park is seeking a qualified operator to work in their wastewater treatment plant. Operators with 3 - 5 years of experience and holding a Wastewater Certification Class A, E, Subclass 2, 4 or higher is preferred. Job duties include but not limited to, flow management, all pumping practices, detailed record keeping, anaerobic digestion control, storm water flow control and operation of conveyance system pump station. Individuals must have the ability to perform maintenance task with a strong back ground in mechanics, plumbing and electrical. Must possess a valid PA Commercial Drives License Class B with air brake qualification. Position requires scheduled shift weekdays from 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, some weekends and holidays, and emergency call out work. Position has a full benefit package including defined pension. 2018 Rate: $24.90/hr. and $1:00/hr. increase for certified operators. Successful candidates must become a Bethel Park resident within one year of hire. Candidates must undergo drug and alcohol screening as part of the pre-employment processing.
