EIEC LINE WORKER POSITIONS
Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative, a Touchstone Energy
Cooperative serving 11,000 members in east central Illinois,
has journeyman line worker and apprentice line worker positions
open at its Paxton and Pesotum locations. These positions are
responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of the
Cooperative’s electrical transmission and distribution system,
and outage restoration, in a safe and efficient manner.
JOURNEYMAN LINE WORKER
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or
equivalent and be certified as a Journeyman Line Worker
through an approved apprenticeship program. A Class A Illinois
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred and candidates
who do not have a CDL must be able to obtain and maintain a
valid Class A Illinois CDL. A pre-employment physical and drug
screen are a required condition of employment.
APPRENTICE LINE WORKER
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or
equivalent and lineman’s technical training is preferred. A Class
A Illinois Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred and
candidates who do not have a CDL must be able to obtain and
maintain a valid Class A Illinois CDL. A pre-employment physical
and drug screen are a required condition of employment.
