Job Summary: |
This Pediatric Surgery Advanced Practice position will serve as a Full Time Advanced Practice Provider, providing care to pediatric surgery patients, birth to 18 years, within Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital and the Pediatric Surgery ambulatory clinic. Clinical responsibilities include routine surgical hospital care, consults, procedures, acute care visits, and other patient specific needs. The Pediatric Surgery Service is a part of Upstate’s Level One Trauma Center. Responsibilities include providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care, assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team. |

Minimum Qualifications: |
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment. |

Pediatric and/or surgical experience preferred
