Assistant Professor, Physician Assistant Studies

Position Description

The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences (COMLS) invites applications for a faculty position in the Physician Assistant Studies program. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. These position provide an opportunity for highly motivated individuals who are committed to student success, academic excellence and advancement of the Physician Assistant (PA) profession to join the PA Studies Program at The University of Toledo as an integral component of the foundational team. Working with the Program faculty and staff, this individual will assist in the implementation of the PA Studies Program, with a focus on teaching and supporting a transformative student experience within a unique modular curriculum during the didactic and clinical phases of the program.

Position is a full-time, 12-month tenure track faculty appointment reporting directly to the Program Director of Physician Assistant Studies.
PA Faculty are responsible for the delivery of the educational content of the PA program.
Positions are announced at the assistant professor level; outstanding candidates may be considered for a higher rank commensurate with experience and scholarly activity.Terminal degree within field, minimum of Master's Degree.
Current NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio as a PA-C.
Minimum of 3 years clinical and/or teaching experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Able to function independently while operating effectively within a team environment.
Excellent oral and written skills and ability to communicate comfortably with students, colleagues, and external constituents.

Qualifications

Terminal degree within field, minimum of Master's Degree.
