Job Summary: | The Child Life Specialist - ER will provide psychosocial, developmental and emotional interventions to support pediatric patients of all ages receiving emergency care and their families, as well as preparation and support for medical procedures required. Will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group child life services. Will collaborate with multidisciplinary team to educate and promote effective coping strategies during medical procedures; and assist with the recruitment and training of new volunteers and with special visitors and donations. |

Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology or related field required. Must have completed a child life internship under the direct supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist. Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) credential required or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Master's degree in Child Life or related field preferred. Familiarity with Epic for electronic charting of child life interventions a plus. Microsoft Excel, Word, and power point skills preferred; bilingual skills a plus. |
Work Days: |
Evenings with rotating weekends. |
