The Dunbar Sanitary Board is currently seeking qualify persons for employment at their Wastewater Treatment Facility.

Scope of Work: Under supervision, operate Class III Vertical Loop Reactor (VLR) Wastewater Treatment Plant. Applicant will be responsible for Daily and Routine maintenance, record keeping, sample gathering, and daily cleaning of equipment with help from others in plant. Responsibilities: The utility operator in this position will be responsible to maintain excellent housekeeping at the wastewater, and to work directly with other employees to keep all equipment operating properly and safely.

High school diploma or General Education Diploma is required. Class I Wastewater Operator Certification is preferred. Work hours are 7 am to 3 pm with all state holiday paid. Operators will be required to work some weekends and holidays, on a rotating schedule. After 90 day probationary period qualified applicants will be eligible for retirement, full health, dental and eye insurance. The candidate will be able to obtain Class II wastewater licenses within two years from date of hire. A minimum of two years' experience operating wastewater plants is preferred.
