Amsted Rail – ASF-Keystone, Inc. a leading manufacturer of steel railroad castings is looking for energetic, friendly people to join our Granite City, IL team.  The following union positions are available:

Electric Welders

Must have completed training at a technical college, vocational school or equivalent experience for Metal Arc Welding.

Electricians

• 5 years Industrial Electrical Experience or Associates Degree in Industrial Electricity or related subject
• Ability to troubleshoot overhead cranes, motor controls, relays, and PLC controls
• Familiarity with Substation Maintenance, VFDs, CNCs, and Robotics is a plus
• Conduit bending and construction in an industrial environment is a plus
• Attention to electrical awareness and safety
• Receptive attitude to learning new technology and working as a team

Hydraulic and Pneumatic Maintenance

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Extensive knowledge and experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
• Welding and pipe fabrication experience
• Be able to provide own tools

Millwright

• At least 3 or more years of related experience in an industrial setting
• Ability to work from blueprints or sketches
• Physical ability in installing and working plant machinery
• Problem solving skills to locate faulty parts, replace worn and broken parts and keep equipment in optimal operating condition
• Be able to provide own tools

Shop Machinist

• 3-5 years of experience
• Manual Lathe experience
• Manual Mill experience- CNC experience is helpful
• Problem solving skills
• Pride in workmanship
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to create parts from samples or sketches
• Ability to troubleshoot production equipment and initiate repairs
• Knowledge of heavy duty rigging is helpful
