Community Service Officer (Willimantic Police Department) Willimantic, CT

The Willimantic Police Department seeks qualified applicants for the position of Community Service Officer. This is a part-time position (27.5 hours/week at $28,21/hour). Under the direction of the Chief of Police or his designee, the Community Service Officer performs a variety of administrative and technical non-sworn law enforcement duties in support of Police Division operations and services, including providing assistance to the general public, preparing records and reports, and cataloging video and photographic evidence.

Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Computer Science, or Information Technology; or in lieu thereof, an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Must pass an extensive pre-employment background check, including a psychological and polygraph exam. Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred.
