Full Time Instructor Position in Computer Software Engineering Technology

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology announces an opening for a full time instructor in Computer Software Engineering Technology. Beginning August 2018, the instructor will teach courses that cover the fundamentals of web application development, database design and management, web and application security, developer ethics, and other related topics. The instructor will teach the first year courses of the program, and will coordinate the teaching of second year courses by adjunct faculty. Topics covered in the second year will include API and platform integrations, project management workflows and customer/team interaction, and advanced technical topic electives.
Preferred requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Software Engineering related field and at least five years of professional experience in the software engineering industry. Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree with at least five years of software engineering experience and completion of a Bachelor's Degree within five years contingent upon hiring. The successful candidate must be competent in business software, and in programming with current technologies and possess interest in keeping pace with new and emerging platforms that will provide the most benefit to students in their career after completion of the program.Salary for the position is determined on the basis of academic qualifications and experience as projected on the Faculty Association Contract.
