FMA is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team.

This position supports the accounting & finance functions of the organization. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting & 1 to 2 years of directly relevant work experience. We also require proficiency in Excel, an understanding of currency conversion from U.S. dollars to Canadian dollars & the ability to understand intercompany transactions “Due to” / “Due from”. We prefer Sage 100 experience.

Duties include preparing month-end journal entries; maintaining files & records for balance sheet accounts & reconciling activity; assisting with financial report preparation; overseeing accounting tasks in the travel & expense management system called Concur; filing state sales & use tax returns for U.S.; filing GST/HST tax returns for Canada activities; reconciling A/P each month; assisting with projects.
