The PBX Switchboard Operator answers all incoming telephone calls, direct calls to appropriate areas, relaying emergency messages; answering emergency telephone calls (Medical and Facility Emergencies, Stats); overhead paging staff, announcing various alerts and information over the paging system; contacting medical staff, nursing, and other CH personnel as necessary and directing them to locations where they are needed; reporting telephone problems, basic pager troubleshooting and changing batteries as needed. Provides Help-Desk type functions and operates a call center during a disaster within the incident command center. Performing other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: One year of experience operating a telecommunications operator workstation/console. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted, must pass a medical terminology test with a grade of 75%. General: Good Communication Skills, Exhibits excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, Ability to analyze and interpret information, Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, Ability to work within a team environment, Knowledge and understanding of technical systems, equipment, and services.

Work Type: Part-Time-16hrs/week
Work Hours: 11p-7:30a, 3p-11:30p, 12p-8:30p, 7a-3:30p, 10:30a-7p w/ rot wknds & holidays
