Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Counselor at the Crisis Stabilization Unit at Behavioral Health Network!

Counselors help provide services and comfort for the adult mental health population in Western Massachusetts as they work to meet program goals.

  • Use your interviewing, observation, and documentation skills to plan and implement treatment services.
  • Gain exposure to opportunities that promote learning and growth within your position.
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration with the individuals served, their family members, and service providers.
  • Counselors complete mental status exams and develop their ability to work as a team.
  • Supervision and training is provided as a regular part of the Counselors’ position.

The Crisis Stabilization Unit is a safe, supervised environment . Individuals served are provided a range of services including need assessments, groups, and one-on-one counseling.

Job Requirements:

Counselors at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • 2 year experience in a human service field or equivalent experience with a psychiatric population. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (required).

    **NOTICE**

    In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

    The same guidelines noted above apply during flu season (defined as December 1st – through end of flu season as announced by the CDC) for BHN’s Mandatory Influenza Vaccine policy.
