Required Education
Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education or Psychology are preferred fields of study. Other fields may be considered if applicant has a strong background in early childhood.
Required Related Experience
Applicant must have experience working with young children, preferably in school settings. We are looking for a few students who love working with children during the summer of 2024 at the Early Childhood Lab. The summer program starts on June 5, and ends on August 2. We work around prior planned vacations.
Required License/Registration/Certification
Applicant must have a current negative TB test (within the last 2 years) or be willing to get one. CPR and 1st aid certification is required within 3 months of employment. All employees must have a finger print background check. This will be done when applicants are offered the job.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to pick up children weighing up to 40 pounds, push strollers and be able to get up and down from the floor several times a day. The children also go outside at least 2 times each day. Teachers go outside with children.
Shift
The ECL is open from 8:00 – 5:00 each day of summer school. You can start on May 1st if you want to start before our summer program opens. 
Job Summary
Job duties of a student worker at the ECL include playing with and supervising young children, helping classroom teachers with cleaning and organizing, assisting with daily routines, reading to children, and going to the playground and walks around campus.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
We are hoping to employ students who are professional, and understand the importance of coming to work during their planned schedules.
