MARCH 2024 MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
Dear Parents/Guardians and Community Partners,
The gusty winds of March
remind us that spring is on the way as we look forward to warmer, sunny
days! There is much to look forward to
this month, including the Math-a-Thon at Godwin and Highland Schools, and
Career Day at Godwin School. Please
check the school websites for more information on these two wonderful programs.
Kindergarten
Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, March 21st at 7pm at Godwin
School. This annual orientation,
presented by Principal Danielle Bache, provides school families with a great
deal of information on the all-important first year of school. We look forward to welcoming the
Parents/Guardians of students who will be a part of our district’s Class of 2037!
MPHS to present "The Addams Family."
We are delighted to announce that our talented student thespians will present "The Addams Family" musical in March. The show is a tuneful, comical feast that embraces the wackiness inherent in every family. The plot is an original story focusing on Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness. Wednesday has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. If that wasn't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother, leaving Gomez Addams to do something he has never done before—keep a secret from his wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents…mark your calendars because you don’t want to miss what happens! The musical will be presented March 22nd at 7pm, March 23rd at 2pm and 7pm, and March 24th at 2pm. Ticket information: Presales $18 per ticket (ends March 15); Final Week sales and Online sales, $20 per ticket; At the Door sales, $20 per ticket (cash/check only).
Midland Park Education Hall of Fame. The district’s Education Hall of Fame recognition program is open to all former Midland Park employees who have been retired at least three full years prior to their nominations, have made significant contributions to the improvement of the Midland Park school district over at least a five-year period of employment, and have been nominated by at least two individuals, excluding the prior employee himself/herself. Honorees will be announced this month, and we look forward to celebrating each for their years of service and achievement to the students of Midland Park in June. More information on the nomination process may be found on the district website: www.mpsnj.org
Please accept my best wishes for a marvelous March!
