EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Safely performs mechanical diagnostics and repairs on a variety of large and small passenger buses, automobiles, light and heavy duty trucks, and specialty grounds equipment; conducts preventative maintenance inspections in compliance with the Department of Transportation; air conditioning maintenance and repairs on R134A fueled equipment; ability to perform assigned tasks to a variety of multi-manufactured equipment including but not limited to: IC, Cummins, Blue Bird, Ford, Chevrolet, Ricon, Thomas, and John Deer; replace steering bushings, transmission fly wheels, and pneumatic springs; engine and transmission services and lubrication of moving components; perform tasks consistent with departmental duty statements or by assignment of supervisor; will fill in as Substitute Bus Driver for am/pm routes as well as activity trips as needed; respond to road calls/break downs with the ability to make safe operational judgment calls on site under special guidance; maintain a clean and safe working environment.
