Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Teaching 2 courses per semester in the Psychology undergraduate and/or graduate program in Psychometrics. Undergraduate courses may include: Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, Applied Psychology, and/or other courses in area of interest. Graduate courses include: Advanced Quantitative Methods, Multivariate Analysis, and courses in area of specialization.
  • Establishing a program of research (50%) with an emphasis on decision making, cognitive modeling and methodology and contributing to the Center for Data Analytics and Sports Gaming.
  • Responsibilities also include academic advisement of students and contribution to the department through research, publications, and service.
Requested Minimum Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a PhD in Cognitive Psychology or a closely related discipline by August 2023, along with a strong program of research and training in decision making, modeling cognitive processes, and examining psychosocial predictors of individual and group behaviors.

Experience:
Must have a minimum of two years of experience as an instructor of record teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
Other Preferences for Consideration
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the minimum qualifications with post-doctoral experiences, a record of grantsmanship, and expertise in quantitative methods, experience with AR/VR technology, computational modeling & methodology, and strong interests in gaming and eSports.
