Materials Manager

Position Summary: Responsible for managing the planning, procurement, scheduling, and flow of inventory through the facility and off-site warehouses to ensure operations are supplied the correct parts for production while achieving inventory KPIs and meeting customer orders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans operational direction, decision making, and goal establishment for the facility

• Organizes, manages, and controls activities related to the physical inventory, procurement, material handling, budget, and shipping /receiving functions

• Implement a continuous improvement culture within the materials group to meet schedule attainment, customer fill rate, and inventory goals

• Plans/executes the Annual Physical inventory process

Qualifications:

• Ability to lead, counsel, and coach people

• Knowledge ERP systems, MRP processes, and proficiency in MS Office Suite

• Self-motivated, able to make decisions and work independently

• Understands continuous improvement and the lean tools

Experience/Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

• 3-5 years of experience
