Job Summary: | The Deputy Director of Nursing for Operations functions as a member of the executive nursing leadership team with responsibility for providing cross campus operational oversite to multiple highly complex and mission critical divisions at Upstate. Areas of responsibility include Administrative Supervisor & Staffer group, Throughput Operations (Operations center, DHC, Throughput staff, Triage & Transfer Center), Emergency Services ( including Poison Control center) , Nursing informatics and the following programs: Stroke, Trauma, Burns, BMT, Heart failure, and Resuscitation. Collaborates with multiple physicians, departments and other key operational leaders to ensure improvement and growth in operations across the system. Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelors degree in Nursing or Masters degree in Nursing required. If BSN prepared, Masters degree in Nursing, Management, or Health related field required. NYS licensed/registered professional nurse required or eligible. Minimum of 7 years progressively responsible nursing leadership experience which encompasses medical staff relationships, quality management, human resource development and management required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, computer, and presentation skills required |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Certification in Clinical specialty or Leadership preferred. |
