This position resides within the Health Information, Release and Records Management Section of Public Health Seattle & King County. The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Patient Identity, Public Records and Health Information Management (HIM) work in the section, and general HIM projects. The overall responsibilities include program planning and analysis as well as oversight and implementation of program specific goals and objectives. The duties of this position are often sensitive in nature, and require timely responses. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality is a requirement of the position. This recruitment may be used to fill more than one position.
This TLT or Special Duty is anticipated to last through the end of September with the possibility to extend longer.
WHO MAY APPLY: This full-time position may be filled as Term Limited Temporary (TLT), and is open to all qualified applicants, or Special Duty assignment for current King County Career Service employees who have passed their probationary period. Current King County employees must have permission from their supervisor to be eligible for the Special Duty assignment.
WORK LOCATION & SCHEDULE: The Compliance Office is located in the Chinook Building at 401 5th Avenue, Downtown Seattle. This position may require travel to other King County locations.
This position will work a 40 hour work week (1.0 FTE), working 8:00-5:00 five days a week. The position is Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Non-Exempt and eligible for overtime pay.
