The Three Rivers Education Foundation in collaboration with the Education Service.
Center Region 19 and the Clint Independent School District has been awarded a Federal Grant to recruit highly qualified individuals into the area of teaching. The participants will be provided the opportunity to work with master teachers and receive intensive training while earning a master’s degree through Western Governors University and a Texas teaching license through ESC Region 19’s Alternative Certification program. The program can be completed in one year.
Qualifications:
Degree in a STEM area (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) 2.5 GPA or higher; no prior public school teacher of record; bilingual (English/Spanish).
Requirements: Work in a high-needs school for three years after completing the program; completion of the Master’s degree and teaching license
Benefits: $60,000, minus tuition for masters and certification program to be paid in bimonthly installments for one year; opportunity for employment in a high needs school.
