Infection Control / Employee Health Nurse

The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for identifying, investigation, monitoring, & reporting HALs. The IC RN collaborates with teams and individuals to create strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection control.

IC RN Responsibilities Include:
-Implement & Manage MMC's infection prevention/Infection Control Program
-Develop & revise Infection Prevention policies
-Communicate IP/IC information/changes to organization
-Design & deliver education to clinical & non-clinical staff
-Assess risk of occupational exposures to infectious diseases
-Collect, Analyze, & Interpret outcome data
-Investigate all Patient/Employee infection concerns
-Maintain & submit all annual reports required by MMC, DPH, Quality, & Risk

Employee Health RN Responsibilities Include:
-Develop & promote employee health program throughout the organization
-Conduct all pre-employment screenings
-Educate employees & administer immunization when needed
-Provide Injury & Health Assessments
Maintain compliance with State, Federal, & MMC requirements

Requirements:

-Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state of Georgia
-Degree from an accredited academic facility required - Bachelor's degree preferred
-Certification in BLS & ACLS through American Heart Association
-Demonstrated knowledge of basic principles of epidemiology, surveillance, data collection, & analysis
-Certification in infection Prevention & Control (CIC) preferred
-Member of APIC preferred
